Busting out the confusion
With all this talk of the “New Normal” and “Pivoting” your business, many entrepreneurs and small business owners have been flailing with trying to make sense of it all.
There has been a lot of talk and even more online courses, webinars and zoom meetings about what companies can do in order to keep their doors open.
What we have seen instead, are many freaked out business owners flailing and running around in circles. Achieving nothing in the meantime.
What everyone needs to do is STOP!
Stop trying to compete with everyone else’s great idea.
Stop trying to make the next new wonder decision.
This is the time to go back to the basics. The consumer is at the center of all marketing, and if your customer is not your worlds nucleus, then you need to ask yourself why not?
Use this down time to get in touch with them, ask them what they like about your product or service, what makes them happy, what makes them buy it in the first place and what can you do to make them want to buy more of it or more often.
SHHHH, Now listen
Then you need to listen. So often, we ask for advice and then don’t take it.
Listen to their concerns and try really hard not to discount their reactions and comments straight off the bat.
Try remove your own views and really listen to their roadblocks.
Then you can evaluate these against your business and see where you can change to make their lives easier.
By removing obstacles for your clients, you can immediately increase your sales opportunities, without changing much.
